Pools
Crown Pools features three separate pools:
Competition pool:
- 8 lane 25-metre pool;
- Water fitness classes;
- Swimming lessons;
- Regional or national swimming events;
- 600 spectator seating and full timing equipment/scoreboard.
Leisure pool:
The ideal facility for families and children.
- Beach area;
- Wave machine and water fountain.
Teaching pool:
Ideal introduction for babies and toddlers with parents.
- Single depth pool of 0.75m;
- Slightly warmer than other pools.

Please note that due to a programme change the Teaching Pool will be closed 10 - 11am every Thursday; - Leisure pool timetable.
There are sometimes special events held at the pool which can affect our normal programme. Changes to opening hours will be displayed here when relevant.

Admissions policy
Children under the age of 8 years must be supervised by a responsible adult over the age of 16. One adult can only supervise two under 8's at any one time. The adult must accompany the child/children in the water at all times.
We recommend that non-swimmers over 8 years old are also supervised.
There is no minimum age at which you can bring babies into the water, although we do recommend they have had their first immunisation injections.
Disabled facilities
- Entrance via ramps through automatic doors;
- Lowered desk and induction sound loop at reception;
- Dedicated disabled changing room with electric hoist, chairs, and beds which can all be taken into the water via hoist;
- Four disabled/family changing cubicles;
- Appropriate toilet and lowered shower facilities;
- Pools accessed via ramps with beach entry to Leisure Pool;
- Hoist available into Competition Pool;
- Two wheelchairs available that can be taken into the water;
- Passenger lift access to first floor.
Catering and spectating facilities
- Full and varied vending service;
- Additional seating in first-floor vending area;
- Tables and chairs overlooking all three pools;
- Free children's eating/play area with activity tables, drawing easels and TVs showing cartoons.
