Time to Join in the Summer Fun

With the school holidays now upon us, Team Ipswich is once again running a series of its popular Cricket and Basketball summer holiday programmes.

The summer “hoops in the sun” basketball programme kicked off on the 25th of July with the first of a series of pay and play sessions at Westbourne sports college. These sessions need no pre booking so just come along and join in the fun, led as ever by the indomitable Head Coach Nick Drane.

Dates and times are as follows:

Thursday 26th July 10-2pm ages 11-14 yrs

Wed15th August 10-2pm ages 7-11 yrs

Thursday 16th August 10-2pm ages 11-14yrs

Costs are £5 per session, concession rate £2.50

The summer cricket programme kicks off on the 6th of August, and in total there will be a total of 20 different sessions running through to the 22nd .The sessions are aimed at three distinct age groups, which are listed below along with the relevant costs.

1.Rascals aged 5-7 years £3 a session, £1.50 concession, 9-10.30am, August 7,8,14,15,21,22nd

2.Hot shots aged 8-11 years £4 a session, £2 concession, 11am-1pm, August 6,7,8,13,14,15,20,21,22nd

3.Colts aged 11-14 years. £4 a session, £2 concession, 2-4pm, August 6,7,8,13,14,15,20,21,22nd.

All of the above sessions can be booked individually.

All of the sessions will be held at the excellent facilities at Ipswich school, in Henley Road Ipswich, and will lead once again by the Ipswich Community Cricket Coach Peter Bennett-King.

The core objectives of the programme are about helping develop every individual, and most of all about ensuring the children have fun.

These events need to be pre booked, this can be done at any Ipswich Borough Sports Centre, or on the bookings line 01473-433639 between 9.30am-10pm.

So don’t spend all summer on your play stations! Come along, get fit get active and join in the fun.
