Have a go Sports Day for People with Visual Impairments

A multi-sports day for people with visual impairments is being held in Ipswich next month.

The ‘Have a go’ day is being held at Chantry Sports Centre on Thursday the 30th of August from 11.30am to 4pm.

The event is free and is aimed at 11-25 year olds although the activities are open to anyone with a visual impairment. The sports will include football, cricket, goalball, athletics, tri-golf, judo, shooting, polybat and racket sports.

The day is a great way to try a variety of sports, meet new people, and find out how you can get involved in developing sport in your area. Plus you could win some fantastic prizes.

To book a place or find out more about sports for people with visual impairments please contact your Ryan Armes, Regional Development Officer of British Blind Sport on 01487 843344 or email ryan@britishblindsport.org.uk

The event has been organised by British Blind Sport with support from by Suffolk Disability Charity Optua and Team Ipswich.
