Ipswich’s new wheelchair basketball club, the Iceni Warriors, are having an open day at Chantry Sports Centre in Ipswich this Saturday (23rd June).

New 'Embrace Life’ campaign provides a unique opportunity for local people to explore exciting opportunities available when volunteering in sport and recreation, countryside activities, museums, libraries, archives, theatre, arts and crafts and music.

Team Ipswich the local community sports network developed by Ipswich Borough Council’s Sports Development Unit has announced a new business supporter to help drive forward the development of local sport.

A bid to encourage more girls to take up cricket is being made by Ipswich Borough Council's Team Ipswich and Babergh District Council.

New coaching sessions for girls are being held on Tuesday evenings between 6.30pm and 8pm at Copdock and Old Ipswichians' cricket ground in Old London Road, Copdock.

There's still time to enter the Team Ipswich Family Run for Fun taking place in Ipswich's beautiful Chantry Park this coming Sunday.

The event which is being organisaed by Team Ipswich, in conjunction with local charity EACH, East Anglian Children's Hospices, aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity and the amazing work of the local charity through its hospices.
