Emerging Squad

These are Ipswich’s future champions. Thirty to forty boys and girls who are currently competing at national age group level in their sport and have the potential to be the sporting heroes of tomorrow.

Team Ipswich recognises that these young achievers need more than just ability, commitment and desire to become a sporting champion.

They need financial support, which is why Team Ipswich, with SportsAid, the national charity for sport, has launched the Ipswich Sports Foundation, making financial grants available to talented individuals. Team Ipswich is attracting business support that will make life easier for our talented athletes.

As well as access to funding, members of the Emerging Squad receive a package of benefits including free access to Ipswich Borough Council sports facilities and increased profile through the local media.
