Sport Club Guide

Local clubs are at the heart of sport and are fundamental to successful levels of participation and achievement.

That's why clubs are a key part of Team Ipswich and a 'Club Summit' held in 2006 launched a plan for club development in the town. Key aims of the plan:_

• Publicising achievements and raising Club profiles
• Rewarding coaches and volunteers
• Promoting skills and sharing knowledge
• Giving financial support with reduced price clothing, transport, equipment and support services

Ipswich training consultancy Adapt, a sponsor of Team Ipswich, has also begun work with sports coaches to assess and offer personal development in areas such as people management, motivation and team building.

"We are really excited that Team Ipswich will increase our profile within the local area and enable us to learn from other sporting organisations. In addition, the direct support to our international players and youngsters will significantly help with retaining and recruiting quality hockey players."
