This is a rare chance to see local and stunning art treasures from the medieval period.
Many of the artefacts have not been on public display before, including a special loan from her Majesty the Queen! Free after normal Castle admission charge.
10th July - 9th January 2011, Ipswich Art School

This is a six-month exhibition from the world renowned saatchi Collection. It gives unique access to pieces of work from seven international artists.
17th July 2010, St Botolph’s Priory, Colchester
FREE 10.30am – 4.30pm
An exciting free day of music, activity and living history. Meet the medieval surgeon, see medieval cookery and take part in medieval criminal trails!
Free craft activities, music, knights in combat, bric-a-brac, cakes, hog roast, tours of the priory and talks by a local historian. st Botolph’s priory, off Queen street, Colchester.

A new and exciting gallery at Ipswich Museum! Come and see some of the earliest objects and stories from ancient egypt. experience a physical and spiritual journey down the nile back to ancient egypt, sights and sounds of everyday life. explore the realms of the gods and discover what they believed about the afterlife.
